I am Latoya; a wife and mother of twins that are truly the inspiration for everything I do. While my "exciting" hobby is traveling the world to explore different cultures, mainly the food; I also enjoy discovering the least expensive way to do it and educating people on financial deliverance so that they can do the same. I would have to say this all stemmed from becoming independent at a very young age and running into some significant financial obstacles. After high school I ventured out on my own consistently working multiple jobs at one time, taking care of family members, actively participating in and being committed to church, and like I mentioned, traveling as much as possible.
At around 21 years old I decided it was time to stop renting and purchase a home. When I went to apply for my loan, I was denied and told my credit was bad—in the low 500s. I didn’t even know what bad credit meant at the time. I obtained my reports and to my surprise I had so many negative accounts, mostly medical, due to not having insurance. There were major delinquencies on my report such as, charge-offs, collections, you name it. Not only was I unaware of the many negative accounts, but I was living paycheck to paycheck and the outrageous debt seemed impossible to get rid of. Yes, it took much prayer, but that wasn’t it.
I began researching how to tackle the debt to repair my credit, and eventually started a budget plan. After months of research, I realized I was addicted to this thing called credit repair. I eventually found myself so intrigued by the information I began teaching financial classes on budgeting and of course credit repair. As a result of my research and determination, I went on to purchase my home at the age of 26 years old with a credit score above 700 that eventually leaped into the 800s.
Nine years later, after successfully repairing credit scores for myself, friends, family, co-workers, and friends of friends, I decided to establish my very own credit repair business. My original goal when attempting to repair my credit was to be a homeowner and not have my credit score hold me back from my dreams. However, after discovering the lack of understanding in the area of financial freedom and credit as a whole among my peers and elders, my goal has change from self-gratification to assisting and encouraging others to obtain financial deliverance.
I aspire to introduce more people to financial deliverance with lower interest rates, reduced insurance costs, and increased disposable income by establishing realistic budget plans and educating them on the importance of establishing, repairing, and safeguarding their credit. At the end of the day, they say money doesn’t buy happiness, but it can relieve you of the heavy weights and burdens debt and poor credit apply to your life. With my help we will create each budget and tackle each financial obligation no matter how big or small because The Credit Hunter is Where Every Cent Counts!
